F.A.Q'S.

My butter has melted, what do I do?

Our products are made with all-natural ingredients, without any chemical stabilizers or preservatives. If the product melts, popping it into the fridge or freezer will help to firm up your product again. The quality of the product will remain unaffected. Storing butters in cool, dark and dry places is optimal. Any little bumps or grains that appear are likely the result of shea butter tempering too quickly. We take additional steps to prevent this by tempering the shea butter prior to production. However, extreme shifts in temperature sometimes happen during shipping or storage (such as if the product is left in the car during summer or winter), and that can cause the shea butter to clump into granules. The product is still perfectly safe to use, and the granules will melt on contact with skin.

Why are some bottles and jars not filled to capacity?

All of our products are filled by weight not volume, and in some instances products that are whipped may settle or melt during shipping, depending on the time of year. If your product arrives melted see answer above for tips regarding melting. For products that are whipped, some settling may occur and the jar may not appear completely filled when you receive it, however, the weight of the product is the same. Products will not be replaced for melting during hot months, so please order at your discretion.

I have sensitive skin, Can I use your products?

Most of our products are made with natural ingredients, however these ingredients can still cause problems for our clients with sensitivities. Our products have not been evaluated by the food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you have a reaction, discontinue use and consult your Physician.

We encourage our clients to be mindful of their allergies. If you are using a product for the first time, we always recommend doing a patch test first by applying a small amount of product to clean skin on the inside of your wrist or elbow or behind your ear. Avoid washing the area, and watch it for at least 24 hours.
